About Engineers Diagnostic Centre Pvt Ltd

Engineers Diagnostic Centre was established in 2006 by a team of experts: Dr. Babu T. Jose, Former Dean of CUSAT and a pioneer in foundation consultancy in Kerala; Dr. Anil Joseph, Managing Director of Geostructurals (P) Ltd and CECONS (P) Ltd; and Ms. Bindu Sunil, Director of Retrofitting/Structural Designs. The company was formed to provide expertise across a range of specialty areas under a single roof.

Mission and Services.

Our mission is to provide reliable Geotechnical, Structural, and Environmental testing and evaluation to the industry, always upholding quality and integrity in our business. We aim to address professional Geotechnical issues through laboratory testing to ensure that the parameters used for designing infrastructure projects are dependable. Over time, EDC has expanded from Geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing to include Structural and Topographical surveying, as well as the evaluation and retrofitting of deteriorated structures.

Laboratory and Equipment

In 2013, EDC was converted into EDC (P) Ltd. Our laboratory is well-equipped to derive critical parameters for the design of foundations and structures, covering the testing of soil, concrete, and environmental parameters. We significantly invest in the latest field and laboratory equipment to ensure our processes are highly dependable and provide realistic results.

Collaborations and Future Ventures

EDC collaborates with its two sister concerns: CECONS (P) Ltd and Geostructurals (P) Ltd. Cochin Engineering & Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. (CECONS), established in 1985, is recognized for its expertise in Structural and Geo-technical Design, soil investigation, piling, and super-structure works of buildings and bridges. Geostructurals, also based in Cochin, was formed by a group of engineers committed to professional excellence in Civil Engineering and related fields. EDC is also venturing into Enviro Geo Technology and Soil Remediation. For technical upgradation, EDC has partnered with Group Van Vooren, a Belgian company specialized in soil consultancy, Geotechnical and architectural laboratory services, soil and groundwater remediation, business process outsourcing, building management, and project development.
